NBA Preview 2008-2009

The only NBA preview that you should look at. This is not opinion, this is fact.

 Eastern Conference Top Three:

1: Cleveland Cavaliers

2: Boston Celtics

3: Detroit Pistons

I think that Cavs will surprise many people. LeBron is too good and with the addition of Mo Williams they have a shooter who is very confident in his abilities.

It will be Celtics vs Cavs in the conference finals. The series should go to 7 games. With the edge going to Cavs because of the LeBron factor.

Western Conference Top Three:

1: Los Angeles Lakers

2: New Orleans Hornets

3: Utah Jazz

I've left off few very good teams. The other three that might deserve to be in the top three are: Portland, San Antonio and Houston.

Let's look at Portland first. They are young and have a lot of hype behind them. I don't think they deserve to be talked about quite yet. They need to earn their stripes. Also, because of their youth the roles of each player have not been established. In couple of years they have potential to be great.

San Antonio has been the built like a rock team of the 2000's. However, the rock has been slowly crumbling. They are aging and now look like a team on the downward cycle.

Houston is a team with many questions. Can Yao stay healthy? Can McGrady? Can Ron Artest keep his head and be the best defender in the NBA? Can McGrady win a playoff series?

For me there are too many questions and that eliminates them from the top three.

The conference finals will be Lakers vs Hornets. Series will be 4-2 Lakers.

Lakers, if they stay healthy are the ones to beat. They have the best player in the NBA and the bench and key players to match.

That's it for now. I am getting ready to watch the first game of the season! I can't wait to see if I was a genius or a fool.

Keep living the dream!
