Financial Future: Takeaways from The World Money Show in Hong Kong

Last week I had the privilege of attending the World Money Show in Hong Kong. There was an impressive lineup of financial experts and I tried to soak in all the advice they had to offer.

They included Steve Forbes, Jim Rogers, Victor Chu, Robert McTeer, Joe Battipaglia and others.

Some of their views included:
  • China is the country of the 21st century
  • The way back will be long
  • The way back will be quicker than expected
  • Our lifestyle brought us here
  • Need to save the private sector
  • Commodities are the way to go

The thing that stood out was the need for each individual to take responsibility and take a proactive interest in their investments. Start to question the "experts", if you don't understand something, ask. You don't blindly accept other things in life, why would you, when its about your savings and your financial future.

There will be some great opportunities in the coming months. The market has been hot the last week or so. What will this mean? Nobody knows, and those that say they do are full of s*&t. This is not about paying attention for one week or one year, this is about doing so for the rest of your life.

I'm posting videos of some of the speakers that I saw last week. Take a look at what they have to say. Do you agree? Disagree? Start discussing issues that you might not understand and want to ask about. Engage your family, friends, internet friends. We are blessed to be part of the internet revolution, we can have information in real time. Let's start to use the tools that are in front of us and keep evolving as individuals.
Take a look, and start thinking about your financial future.
